Thriller Award nominee and bestselling romantic suspense author Melinda Leigh delivers a page-turning story of love, fear, and desperate choices.
Holy Snowfall.... I need more of that. I am a HUGE fan of Melinda's and let me tell you why. Her stories, no matter their size grab a hold of you, shake you up and then just when you think you get it... BOOM! Your grass is mowed and the shutters are closed!!
I've been a big fan of Sean from the very first book in this series. To see him (usually as a secondary character) as the main objective of a story was awesome. He is a bad-ass and all but he is a caring family man. When he and his wife Amanda go on a 'work' vacation what starts out as a nice quiet oasis away from their normal everyday routine things turn to chaos quickly. While Sean is out on a run in the snowy woods the Inn they are staying at, where Sean is installing a security system, is taken over by four armed men.
The men hadn't expected to find anyone there but the owner, Glenn, and his young granddaughter Mia. But they bit off a lot more than they could chew. And they got cocky. Going as far as hurting Sean's wife while he watched from afar. lets just say.. that was a no no. A very big no no. They paid for it though. after a lot of thinking on his feet Sean was able to get a handle on the situation, for a time being but it was long enough to take the men down.
In the end he saved the day.. with the help of his wife Amanda. Who I am sure will forever remember her weekend in the middle of no where with her bad-ass husband and the men that learned you don't piss off an ex-Army Ranger.
