Okay, this is one of those books that I have had on my TBR forever and a day. Maybe two. :) When I found it on audiobook I squealed. Yes, a very girly like squeal. LOL. I was getting to the point of impatience to get to this series in general. I read Unbound (book 5.5) when it came out as part of a release day event and I had to go back to the beginning and see what it was all about. Each book is a stand-alone but that only makes me want to go back even more. So here we are now.

I knew this would be a good story. Just no doubt in my mind and… and… good lord.. Malcolm.. just Jesus. Talk about talk, dark and yummy. Man, I love shifters. Of any kind but these stories are so much out of the norm that it makes them that more interesting and good to read.

The beginning of Malcolm and Samantha’s story is one that is full of wonder, confusion and a lot of ‘what the hell was that?” Samantha who has no idea of her heritage starts having dreams similar to the ones she had as a child. She dreams of a big grey wolf and the beach. The beach home that her grandmother and pop raised her in after her parents untimely death. Being home her resolve starts to melt as she finally lets herself relax. Malcolm of course is running out of time in telling Samantha who and what she is.  There is a hunter after her and they won't be safe until they mate. Once they mate they will be at full strength. That will make him all but invincible. Once they meet it doesn’t take long for things to start to fall into place for them both. With that said they still have issues that arise. People like her nasty ass ex pop up trying to throw his weight around… and well Malcolm puts him in his place so fast the dude doesn’t know what hit him.

With the ex taken care of the only person in the way in the hunter. This person has to be taken care of and soon. the problem is he has figured out how to block Malcolm from his mind. The hard part is keeping both himself and Samantha safe. If either of them were to be killed the other would die soon after. Reinforcements are called in and the three warriors guarding him and his mate are spread out. So when Malcolm can’t be close to her she is always under a pair of unassuming eyes. Once the mating is completed between Malcolm and Samantha the real fun begins. And when I say fun I don’t mean fun in a good way. A mole is amongst them. The question is who and why.As Malcolm races to figure this out and to find his Samantha his world comes crashing down on him.

I have to say, i’ve gotten pretty good at figuring out the “who” behind the unnamed bad guys in stories. Its a talent that I am happy with but I didn’t figure this one out until literally a page before you get to the whole who is behind this mess. I was Like O.O didn’t see that coming. Haha. For me the suspense of who is doing this and why is over the top and most awesome. Sara’s got a great world here with the Amoveo and I look forward to grabbing the next book off my shelf and diving in face first. Gotta keep up and see what’s next.
