Release Day & Review... Melanie Harlow's Some Sort of Happy

Some sort of Happy is LIVE!

Skylar Nixon is a twenty-seven year old failed actress with no Plan B. After a humiliating stint on a reality TV show crushes what’s left of her childhood dream, she finds herself back in her hometown with no money saved, no college degree, and no confidence she’s anything but a joke—a small town starlet who couldn’t hack it in the big city.

When she runs into former classmate Sebastian Pryce, she can’t believe the hot body and chiseled jaw belong to the shy, troubled loner she knew ten years before. He’s not exactly friendly at first, and she’s heard the rumors about his tragic past, but something in his sad eyes intrigues her. She only wants to get to know him better.

Until the night she wants more—and takes it. (Hard and deep. Twice.)

Are they just two lonely people seeking solace? Or can a disgraced beauty queen and flawed, frustrated man find some sort of happy ever after?

**SOME SORT OF HAPPY is a full-length, dual POV novel, complete with a happy ending.**

I was given a copy of Some Sort of Happy by Melanie Harlow in exchange for an honest review.

The blurb for Some Sort of Happy captivated me the minute I read that she took it hard and deep. Twice. I started reading this book Sunday night and I finished it this morning to say that I couldn't put it down is an understatement. Not only did this book bring tears, sadness, confusion, happiness but it also brought laughter. Some of the one-liners in this book can make you laugh till you bust out laughing in a roomful of people. I had my friend look at me very odd a couple of times as I read the book but I would read her the lines and she would laugh along with me even though she had no clue what was going on.

In this book we get introduced to Skylar and Sebastian Skylar was your hometown cherry queen who moved off to New York to pursue her dream and acting. Little did she know acting wasn't all it was cracked up to be an ended up embarrassing herself on a show called save a horse. When we first meet Skylar we find her moved back in at her parents house fired from her job at on the beach alone someone there what would happen with your life at that moment town when everything has gone to the shitter. Little did Skylar know that she would meet someone who would turn her world upside down while she was sitting alone on the beach.

This is the moment that were introduced to Sebastian. Sebastian is a very mix of emotions character not only does Sebastian suffer from OCD he also suffers from anxiety. Sebastian and Skyler went to highschool together but Sebastian was the only one of the two who remembered who the other one was when he first saw her on that beach. To say that Skylar fell for Sebastian is a pun considering that she fell on her face on the beach in front of him. Talk about a first impression.

Sebastian and Skylar were instantly drawn to one another they both wanted to figure the other out and they couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Sebastian would try but his anxiety and his OCD tended to push Skylar way whenever she wanted to pull him in closer. The push and pull of this book is what kept me reading I had to know what was going to happen next for the couple and if they were going to survive the next hurdle they faced together.

I don't want to ruin all the fun for this book because I think everyone should take a chance and read this book. But Skylar and Sebastian's love story isn't one of just roses and easiness it's the story of hardships and endurance. But don't let me forget to mention that they have amazing and hot sex! So if you're in for a wild ride and don't like just nice and easy happily ever after take a chance on Melanie Harlow's book Some Sort of Happy and fall in love with Skylar and Sebastian.
